Sibella Kraus was recently awarded a Wallace Center Regional Food Economy Fellowship. She is part of an inaugural cohort of eight Fellows from across the country who are pursuing diverse and innovative strategies for advancing the case for local and regional food systems as a driver of inclusive economic and community development. The focus of Sibella’s work will be on advancing the Bay Area Ag and Food Strategy Economic Development Program and deepening food systems work in San Jose.

- Trina Ragain – Operation Food Search, St. Louis, Missouri
- Elliott Smith – Travis County Economic Development, Austin, Texas
Fellows receive twelve months of support for projects that engage and educate economic development stakeholders leading to improved articulation and understanding of the positive social, environmental and economic benefits of strong farm and food value chains. The Fellows will develop new resources, best practices, and lessons learned that Wallace Center will share with our broader audience of food systems practitioners so others can apply replicable models in their own communities.
